Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of NovelToScreenplay at https://noveltoscreenplay.com (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

NovelToScreenplay helps adapt novels, books and short stories into screenplay drafts. You may upload or paste a manuscript, generate a free opening preview, purchase a one-time pack to unlock a complete adaptation, and request AI chapter revisions.

Output is a first draft for your review and revision. It is not a finished shooting script, legal clearance, or a promise that the work will be produced, sold, optioned or professionally accepted.

We may modify, suspend or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practicable. Free preview limits, pack contents and displayed prices may change; the price you pay is the catalog price shown at checkout for that order.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate account information and keep your login secure. Google sign-in uses Google’s authentication service. You are responsible for activity on your account.

Notify support@noveltoscreenplay.com promptly if you believe your account has been used without authorization.

3. Your rights and content

You must have the right or permission to adapt the material you upload. Using the Service does not grant you film, television or other adaptation rights in someone else’s work.

You retain your rights in the manuscript you submit and in the drafts generated for you, subject to these Terms and applicable law. You grant us a limited license to process, store and transmit that content solely to operate the Service (including AI processing, private storage, billing and abuse review).

Do not upload confidential material you are not authorized to process with third-party AI providers.

4. Billing and refunds

Paid packs

Paid features are one-time purchases, not subscriptions, and do not auto-renew. Current packs are:

• Opening — $29.90 — one complete novel-to-screenplay adaptation and 20 AI chapter revisions
• Feature — $49.90 — one complete novel-to-screenplay adaptation and 100 AI chapter revisions
• Director’s Cut — $69.90 — one complete novel-to-screenplay adaptation and 200 AI chapter revisions

Prices are in USD. Applicable taxes may be added at checkout. Payment is processed by our payment provider (Waffo). Payment success is confirmed by a verified server callback, not by a browser redirect. A return to the website after checkout does not itself mean the order is paid.

When a refund is available

A refund is available only if paid screenplay generation has not started.

The free opening preview does not count as paid screenplay generation.

If you have not generated the paid screenplay, you may request a full refund of that order within 14 days of the original payment.

When a refund is not available

Once paid screenplay generation has started or completed, we do not refund that order, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

We also do not refund:

• free previews;
• charges that failed, were never captured, or were already reversed by the payment provider;
• orders obtained through fraud, chargeback abuse or a Terms violation.

How to request a refund

Email support@noveltoscreenplay.com from the account email used at checkout. Include:

• the order number or approximate payment time;
• the pack name; and
• a statement that paid screenplay generation has not started.

We review eligible unused-purchase requests within 7 business days. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. Your bank or card issuer may take an additional 5–10 business days to show the credit. When a refund is issued, the unused adaptation and revision allowance for that order is cancelled.

Chargebacks should be a last resort. Contact us first so we can check whether the order is unused and refundable.

5. Acceptable use

You must comply with applicable law. Do not upload, request or distribute:

• pornography or NSFW sexual content;
• graphic violence or content that promotes real-world violence;
• hate or harassment based on protected characteristics;
• child sexual abuse material or sexualized depictions of minors, including fictional or AI-generated depictions;
• deceptive impersonation or non-consensual depictions of real people;
• material that infringes copyright, trademark or other rights;
• malware, spam, or attempts to probe, disrupt or bypass the Service.

6. Term and termination

These Terms apply while you have an account or use the Service.

You may stop using the Service at any time. To close an account or request deletion, email support@noveltoscreenplay.com. Unused paid packs remain subject to the refund rules above.

We may warn, suspend or terminate an account, restrict features, remove or disable content, cancel unused paid entitlements, and refuse future service if you:

• violate these Terms or applicable law;
• upload infringing or prohibited content;
• attempt to defraud payments, abuse refunds or chargebacks, or share account access in a way that harms the Service;
• interfere with security, other users or our infrastructure;
• create risk of legal exposure for us or other users.

Serious, repeated or fraudulent violations may result in immediate termination without prior notice. Where we terminate for cause, unused paid entitlements may be forfeited and are not refundable, except where applicable law requires a refund.

We may also suspend or terminate the Service itself, in whole or in part, for maintenance, security, legal or operational reasons. If we permanently discontinue paid features and you still have an unused pack, contact support; we will refund unused purchases in line with Section 4.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service, including previews, complete drafts, revisions, formatting and downloads, is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement.

In particular, we do not warrant that:

• the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free;
• AI output will be accurate, complete, original, clearance-ready or suitable for production, sale, festival submission or professional use;
• characters, plot, dialogue, legal facts or historical details in a draft are correct;
• third-party providers (sign-in, payments, AI models, hosting) will always be available;
• files, projects or drafts will be retained indefinitely.

You are responsible for reviewing output, obtaining any rights and clearances, and deciding whether to use a draft. Homepage examples are illustrations, not a guarantee of results.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we and our suppliers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost business, replacement costs or reputational harm, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we were advised of the possibility.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific unused or affected order in the 12 months before the claim, or USD $50 if you have not paid us. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those places our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence where such a limit is prohibited.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms. The “updated_at” date at the top of this page will change when we do. Material changes will be posted here. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms, except where applicable law requires additional notice or consent.
